About Audra C. Wilkins

I am an educator, researcher, and leader with dual Master’s degrees: a Master of Management in Public Administration (HRM) from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Special Education from Florida International University, where I graduated with a 3.89 GPA. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Special Education (Autism Endorsement, ESOL) at FIU.

My academic and professional journey has equipped me with expertise in leadership, organizational systems, and teacher–family collaboration. At the same time, I have nurtured a deep passion for improving outcomes for students with disabilities. As a special educator, I have taught and supported K–1 students with autism, experiences that shaped my research vision and commitment to innovative, evidence-based practices.

Today, my work focuses on advancing Special Education through the integration of current and future technologies, including artificial intelligence. I believe these innovations can transform teaching, learning, and support systems—helping educators reduce behavioral challenges, empowering families as active partners, and ensuring schools are more inclusive for every learner.

I believe education is a lifelong journey. My mission is to use my skills, research, and experience to create meaningful impact for children, families, and schools—locally and globally.
